Radio keeps asking for code
Greeting's everyone, new member/ new jaguar owner. The radiokeeps asking for the code every time I turn the key, once imputed it works fine. It's an AJ8700 series radio. Thanks in advance.
I wonder if you've lost your constant 12v power supply? So that, when you turn the key 'off', there's no 'keep alive' power for the memory?
Do you lose the station pre-sets as well? That would be the other clue.
Have you checked the radio fuses?
Cheers

Please excuse the delayed response. All presets reset after turning the car on and off, and asks to input code again. Since creating this post I stumbled upon more electrical problems. The instrument panel gauges all aren't working. Drivers side head lamps are also out (but work with the high beams). Turn signals aren't working, with or without the hazards, the horn, and last but not least the clock and all the buttons underneath it are out. I apologize fore long laundry list, any help would be appreciated.
Fuse was out, which is strange because i switched out fuses before. Anyways, signals are back on, panel instrument is working once again. Only real big concern is that the drivers side headlamps are still out, only work using the high beams.
