Default Rain water leakage

This car had been sitting under a tarp for over a year before I bought it. I have had it outdoors in our very rainy weather and it is leaking water somewhere under the dash. Are there any typical culprits? From the look of the instrument panel, it has been leaking for some time. The thin piece of sheet metal that acts as a common ground on the back of the instrument panel is badly corroded. Also, I feel wetness up above the hood release. and seee corrosion on the fuse block.

It is leaking very fast. We had about three inches of rain in the last two days. The car is on jack stands so the water ran to the floorpans in the back seat area...about two inches were standing from two days of rain.

Any tips or this-happened-to-me stories are appreciated.

Thank you.

1) Windshield seal
2) Clogged drains at the of the air intake plenum....below the wiper grille

Both equally likely

I went through the air intake today and was pleasantly surprised to find that area in nearly perfect condition; no rust...nothing. The drains were apparently clear too. I slowly poured a five gallon bucket of water in and watched it quickly drain out under wheel wells. So, I guess it is on to the windscreen or something else. I will let you know what I find.

Retail signs of the windshield will be water around the area where the dash and windshield meet, or if really bad like mine was water running down the inside of the screen coming in from the top

I tried to isolate the windscreen by taping a couple of plastic garbage bags over it so water cannot run down the widscreen. I left the side gutters exposed to see if maybe it is coming in there. Lots of rain last night, so I should see the result of my experiment when I get over to see the car.
