seat recline angle
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to extend the reclining angle of the seats? I'd sure like to be able to lay the seats back at 60 degrees or more. Easier to catch a little sleep on long trips that way.
Have answered my own question. The answer is yes and it is easy to do. You don't even have to take the seat out if you don't want to.
While removing the headliner from a junkyard car today I took the passenger side seat out to make it easier to maneuver the headliner. With the seat out I removed the side release lever and the cover. You can clearly see a stop post that is welded on the seat frame. It is directly in front of the seat back tensioner spring tip. The seat swivel hits the post to prevent it from reclining any more. By cutting the post off you can recline the passenger seat all the way . I assume the drivers seat is exactly the same.
