My passenger seat moves forward and backward just fine but recline isn't working. The seat is currently in the farthest recline position leaning on the back seat. My passengers are complaining, so I removed the bolts holding the seat and made sure all bottom connections were tight. How do I access the recline motor and wiring? When I press the recline control on the door to the back position I hear a relay click, but push forward button and I don't hear anything. I'm not sure if I should be taking the seat apart or first taking the door panel off. One other strange thing that might be related, my mirrors only adjust down. I appreciate any suggestions.

 

Move the seat fully back and you can see/ access the seat control box. That's where I would start. Try unplugging and replugging all connectors, then dismantle the control box. In mine there are a set of relays, try manually pressing those and see if you can find the ones that operate the back. You may have to press two to get it to move the other way.

I f that works ok then look at the door switch.

 

I had the same issue with my mirrors (seat back worked fine however) and the solution for me was to replace the seat module .........
