She looked a lot better before the fire. No, the Jag was NOT the cause of the fire. It finally go to be a decent driver, after about 4 years or repair and reconditioning.

Sad news. On the bright side you'll have fun shopping for a replacement!

Cheers

Yes, nothing worse than the smell of a burnt love affair.

Helped a friend clean up after one took out his body shop. Welding the floor of some POS blazer and got called the lunch without doing a fire watch. Said he saw the fire reflection off his neighbors windows across the road.

Very sad indeed, mine caught fire while driving and I managed to save it apart from a toasted IRS.
I hope your insurer is better to you than mine was!

Oh, me. I feel for you. Sad news indeed.

And, if no one was hurt or worse, that is the big thing.

1. I suppose no insurance on the Jaguar.

2. No cover for cars under HO or similar insurance.

3. But, I hope your HO does well by you for the structure.

4. The curiosity from my former profession inquires as to the "cause and origin" of the conflagration!!

That sucks man, but now you definitely know what to look for in another one.

Uhh..that interior doesn't look too bad. My drivers side seat stitching just started tearing the other day. Are you interested in parting out any of the interior?

Sorry about you loss, I never did like that color "British Racing Toast". If only it could buff out...

Fire started at the other end of the garage. Cause unknown. Fire Chief calls it "electrical, unknown" . Everything was OK in the garage at 1:30 AM. At 3 AM it all went up in flames. It was pretty dramatic. one other car was in the garage and it looks a lot worse than the jag. It also took out my travel trailer parked next to the garage. And the house is definitely worse for wear. We are not living in the house at this time, some 5 weeks after the fire.

The car is gone, paid off by, and towed away by Hagerty insurance. I would recommend Hagerty, they treated me pretty good. Paid the agreed
value with few questions.

I did it with an E-type plus the garage. USAA treated me well and I bought the crispy critter back for $75.00. Then sold the engine, hood, rear axle and wheels. My fire was started by electric fuel pump replacement. Fire in the truck is bad news in the E-Type because that's also where the gas tank is. Went on to buy another E-type and later a couple of XJ's. Finally retired, swore off of Jaguar's, and now I own an XJS! Which I consider the most esthically pleasing car on the road
