because corvettes are ugly, putrid, overpriced, underdeveloped, poor handling, worse performing buckets of unshifting, gripless, gutless pieces of rotten fiberglass and canvas driven only by middle aged men with underdeveloped penises.

The Corvette is no Grand Prix.

And that's why I bought a Jag. Got 'em all fooled!

no, but the 6.0 GTO would walk a vette all day.

which is great because the GTO is the predecessor to the 97-02 Grand Prix Coupe'.

i just hate vettes. every douchebag old man with a bone stock red vette will take it to a car show, an airshow, or a freaking horseshow and try to enter it.

While I have no love for either the GTO or the Vette, I wouldn't hand out any awards to the GTO.

You'd have to be comparing apples to apples, right? Somehow, I believe the GTO versus a similarly outfitted corvette (with as close to a 6.0 as they made) would be a pretty tight race.

I think the GTO makes out on the fact that it's at least 30% cheaper than the Corvette.

Both body styles are tired, with the GTO looking like something that belongs in a mall parking lot.

Neither car, in my opinion, is really anything to look at.

I was really disappointed that GM didn't do more to help the GTO stand out. It's got an unbelievable pedigree. That tired design they trotted out was really the worst thing they could have done to that nameplate.

I agree. I was very disappointed when I saw what they were calling a GTO, and even more so when they did away with the entire Pontiac line.

M90, I kinda get the feeling you don't like Vettes? Maybe I'm reading into it, so could you clarify it? Tell us how you really feel? Lol!

the Eaton Corp. USA, produces superchargers, along with many other things, one model S/C, is designated M90, one of the draw backs is it produces a lot of HOT AIR!!!!!!!

this should perk things up.

it just makes a lot of noise, a lot of hot air, a lot of whining about, and never really gets anything done.

Jaguar uses the M112 unit. Which is also used by the likes of such things as CORVETTE, Lightning, Cobra Mustang and such. Not quite as much hot air as it is just more air. So I guess even the infamous LS engine needs to be breathed on too. Imagine that!

Jaguar started with the M90 in the XJR from 1995-1997. They then went to the M112, I think in 1998.

An M112 was never factory equipment in a Corvette. The MP112 was offered in aftermarket kit-form from companies like Magnuson (aka Magnacharger.)

All LS engines kick butt naturally aspirated. They do not need superchargers, but there are twisted people out there (like me) that want them anyway!
