sound system?

sound system?
anyone here modified their sound system??
I was thinking about putting two kenwood self powered lo-pro units under my seats but i dont know if it will be enough.
I haven't driven my car much til today and wow is the sound system atrocious.
I know that not until recently have good systems become normal but compare the XJS to the kia borrego of my girlfriends i have been driving and its like a surround sound setup to a tape deck.
There is no depth, no volume, no high, no lows. Everything i play sounds bad and it drives me nuts.
anyone found any elegant solutions?

I like a stock / stealth appearance
- 5.25" drivers in the doors (behind factory grills)
- custom fiberglass box to hold some 8" subs in the bulkheads next to the rear seats / covered in black speaker cloth = unobtrusive
- amplification in the trunk
- tasteful head unit with green illumination (Nakamichi or vintage Alpine)
- dynamat or equivalent everywhere
- ??
- profit

I was young and stupid - thought that XJS would be with me forever. I did not document the installation. I can provide the following, however:
- front doors will accommodate a lot of quality 5.25" drivers behind the factory grills
- Nakamichi (and Alpines with green illumination) head units provide a factory look
- it's a pain in the *** porting a sub from the trunk to the passenger cabin: gas tank, firewall, etc.
closest thing I can find is this for the rear seat armrest subs. Polk and some other companies made some fine subs for this application...
Jaguar XJS sub woofer install
Definitely wasn't anything to look at. The fronts fit behind the factory grills (I insisted on this), and on a black jag, black leather interior, and tinted windows, one could scarcely tell that the rear speaker pods were even there, much less not factory.
Sounded good as hell :-) I can hear the Futurhythm

and Ravin USA as I type this LOL
