Default store all winter now electrical problem

1982 XJS. I put the car away for the winter without a problem. I recently charged up the battery and re-installed it and now I have a constant "door ajar" or "lights on" warning buzzer. It won't stop unless I disconnect the battery. That's problem no.1. Problem no.2 is now I lost my brake lights also. I'm thinking a fuse somewhere in the lighting fuse block on one of the fenders got wet and the fuses needs to be pulled and wiped. Any other thoughts if that doesn't do the trick.
Thanks in advance, Kevin

1.I'd check the switches at each door themselves first.
2. Would probably check out the brake switch first

just move throughout the circuit until you find where power begins and where it ends. Always easy to check some fuses as well

While you are in there checking it's a good time to clean all of those electrical connections as well (corrosion never rests)

had a similar problem with the seat belt in my 94, after coming out of storage this week end. With the belt buckled, a warning bing bing bing would go on. so I undid the seat belt and the warning stopped. Fastened the seat belt, bing bing bing again. went through this for about a day, and finally the warning noise stopped and all is fine.
I think if storage is somewhat moist, it takes a little time to de-humidify. That may be all the problem is.

bobbo, My warning "buzz" is a seat belt issue as well. I never had a seat belt warning and now it buzzes when they're not buckled, as they should so it's not really a problem. Thanks for steering me in that direction.
