Default Top (Hood) Cover Woes

Have spent the last two months going back and forth with a firm that sells on E-bay, trying to sort out fit of a cover for the convertible top, when in the down position. Material was nice (Twillfast II), and construction was decent, but the cover was about 1-1/2" short on each side, and half the "d" hooks were out of position. I spent a day marking the cover, making patterns, taping, pinning, etc., as they assured me they could make a replacement cover to the correct dimensions...which I supplied, along with detailed photos and text when I returned it to them. Yesterday, they said they were "sorry, but did not have the capabilities to make "alterations"." So, we move on. I have searched, but do not see any current references to a reliable source for a cover. Do like the Haartz Twillfast, as opposed to the "correct" vinyl. Any experiences or suggestions that anyone has would be appreciated......

'correct' vinyl?

I don't recall any XJS having a vinyl top from the factory.

I have been looking at these folks, but haven't used them yet:

Perhaps you'll find the link helpful.

Cheers

Not referring to the material of the hood itself.....looking at the cover that fits over it when it is folded down. I believe that was vinyl, here in the States, in later years. Hood is in good shape, just need the cover.
