Trip computer/clock has not functioned during my ownership. (84 XJS)
I obtained a replacement via eBay with the same result: no result.
Fuse is good and wiring looks fine.
Any recommended tests to track down the fault?

Really stupid question: is the display turned off? Iirc you can turn it off...

 

I am not aware of a way to turn it on or off. Only switch I see is mi/km.

 

i bet it's the box above the battery that is bad.
i rent through a bunch until I found one that worked.
