Thank you very much Francis for your answer. It helps a lot.
Yes I'll fill in my Intro.
I'm gonna stay here for a while as I've got more issueses with my Jag as for instance not working tachometer when my head lights are being turned on or totaly not working speedo any time.
It all appeared when I was cruising Isle of Skye in Scotland (comming from Manchester) so it a bit scared me as I was being so far from home. :-)
I have lived in UK since last October so It's gonna be a whole year soon and my English is still not very good, but that's what you are gonna get used it. :-) (Originally comming from Czech Republic so as I'm Czech native speaker.)
I look forward to all your other advice which I can get. Cheers Milos.

Welcome to XJS ownership and the BEST Jaguar forums on the net.
Your symptom of tacho not working could be a bad earth from the instrument cluster. It is a good idea to clean up all the grounds as you come across them.
To do this use sand paper and clean the metal where the ground attaches to the car body, I use star washers between the ground terminal and the body of the car, then when clean I cover the ground in seam sealer to prevent it from rusting.

Welcome Milos . . . and I'm yet another Aussie to add my greetings. Love that Isle of Skye country . . . indeed the whole west coast tour from Scourrie Bay up north down to the Mull of Kintyre. Eilean Donan would have to be a highlight or the massive plates of fish & chips at Gairloch.
Anyway, greetings aside just wanted to comment on your apology for English. If you mean your command of English, then don't . . . you sound fair dinkum from here . . . anyway, we Aussies have refused to speak proper English ever since the silly Poms slapped us in chains and set us packing (to our glorious sun-drenched, resources rich paradise). On the other hand, if you are apologizing for the English . . . yep, we'll drink to that!
Now . . . that could spell trouble . . .
Cheers and keep smiling,
Ken
