Default What to do with my 1993 XJS Convertible after fire

Insurance and I reached a settlement, I bought it back from insurance because I have a guy saying he wants it. He has put me off 3 times to pick it up and pay for it.
So I am about to move on. Would i be best to sell parts off it or to sell the car as a whole?
The fire was in the trunk, but I think the car would be able to restore it. It didn't get salvaged out, but it does have a water damage title from back in 2005ish when the original owner left the top down and it got rained in, but has been on the road since then.

Any thoughts?

I would suggest a few pictures and 'USA' is very vague for a country sooooo large. A location and people nearby may make you an offer ....

If you want maximum cash, take it apart and sell off the parts, scrap what is left over. If you are looking for someone to restore it and return it to its former glory, I am sure some would be interested. It sounds like the cash value will not be much, salvage title and all, but a trunk fire probably is not that difficult a repair. Sell it for what you bought it from the insurance company for and move on, if you do not want to fix it yourself.

Picture is worth a thousand words in this case, but also please describe the extent of the damage. You'll reach a much wider audience this way vs PM.

+1 on the pictures

What engine? What was the general condition of the car before the fire? IE is there plenty of good bits left.

Seems a shame to lose another Jag if it fixable.Have you given thought to repairing it?

Top was already needing replaced, but the damage is in the trunk, battery wasn't harmed. Primarily in the front corner of the trunk around the filler neck. Trunk lid and spot on back fender. Spare rim is ok, spare tire has melted spot. All carpet in trunk will need replaced. Everything from cabin and up is great. Car was in really good condition. Motor was a 4.0 and needed an oxygen sensor. Rear bumper etc wasn't harmed. Tires wheels are fine.

Buy another or a none runner and use your old car for parts. Then part out whats left.
Thats what I did with mine.

Cranked it up today and moved to garage. First one to bring $1500 can take it home.
