My dashboard guages are faulty, and I have gone through every possible solution besides the ignition switch. So I went to take it apart, and stupidly took off this part, that I don't even know what is does...




See that little square piece right above where the key goes in...
What does it do?

(If you don't know what i'm talking about, I attached it too.)

I'm a Jaguar rookie (obviously) and would really appreciate some help.

That's the switch for the key-in-ignition and/or seat belt buzzer
