Default Where is the best (The Easiest Place) to take Power from for my Electric Fans?

As some of you may know, due to the Non Availability of the White Plastic Mechanical Fan (A Black Fan didn't fit my Car for some reason)

I decided to go with efans (Electric Fans) and managed to get hold of a Pair from an XJ40 which I adapted to fit without much of a problem.

Now while I know that I will have to fit these Fans with Relays, the first thing that I need to know, is where do I take the Power from under the Bonnet/Hood.

So I need to know the easiest and most accessible place.

Help on this please Guys.

I took the Battery Hot for the 30/51 terminals af the relays from the LH battery stud, near the rear of the LH Camcover, via a thermo circuit breaker of 30amp rating per fan.

The Ign Switched to the 85 terminal came from an Ignition relay I installed inside the car, and fed the wire out through the same rubber grommet that the Climate System vac hose used on the closing plate under the washer bottle.

Terminla 86 being the earth was via the thermo switch in the water pump fitting.

Terminal 87 is power supply to the fan/s.

Bear in mind that my RH fan is Thermo operated, and the LH is A/C switched only.

Hi Grant

Cheers!

I'll have a look and see what I can find.

Why wouldn't the black fan fit? The OD should be the same as the white.

Hi Jagboi

While the Black Fan would fit ok, the Blades came too close to the Belts.

So now I've got the efans on, all I've got to do is wire them up.

Hi Jagboi

While the Black Fan would fit on the Boss, the Blades came too close to the Belts and the only way that I could overcome that was by fitting a different clutch.

Someone else on here had the same problem.

I usually found that if the fan blade is toast, so is the clutch, so I have always replaced them together. That might explain why I've never run into that.

No, I just went straight for the efans, as these were a lot cheaper than a new fan and clutch.
