Due to all the rain we keep getting here in Atlanta for the past 2 years I kept getting water down in the floor boards of
my 1994 XJS 2+2.
After looking for the source of the leak(s) in the dashboard, the windshield seals and the convertible top seals for the last 2 years,
I finally noticed a 3/4" gap in the external window seal up near the front of the window track on both doors.
I was able to slide the strips forward to close the gap at the front. This opened a similar size gap at the rear of the door.
Sorry, I don't have that handy-dandy window seal stretcher tool.
I used tape for a temporary seal for the length of the window top track.

I didn't get the leaks until I stopped using my car cover. Why stop using the cover? Mold.
The humidity here has been atrocious for past few months. The cover kept the leaves and sunlight off
of the Jag and kept the moisture inside. Which combined with the +90F temps and a car cover for a few days
made for perfect incubation for black/green mold. Nothing like whipping the car cover off and seeing interior
of your Jag turned into a mold farm.

The current seals are 28-1/2" long and the door seal track is 29-1/4" long.
What is the correct length for the seals?
I found a source that wants about $18.00 each for the rubber seal strips.
The Genuine Jaguar doesn't have them anymore.
Some of the other parts sources want $54.00 or more for each strip.
