Default Window motor still a problem

Okay, I made a thread a month or so ago about this and still I have nothing.

My window motor went out on my drivers side. 1988, 10 tooth window motor. The plastic gear is ruined and comes out of place.

I cannot find a replacement for it anywhere, every place I go all I see is 8 tooth motors. I tried a bosch 10 tooth for a mercedes but it didn't work.

I recently visisted a jaguarparts site that has a listing saying "fits 7 and 10 tooth motors" and specifies that it has 8 teeth.

Do the 8 teeth motors work on the 7 and 10 tooth regulators? My car has had NO door panel and NO working window for over 2 months now, this sucks!

If anyone has info on replacing this motor, please let me know!

I believe I was supposed to get a shipping quote for you for the motor and assembly that is sitting on my table 2 months ago! I am so sorry! I will have the quote for you by Tuesday next week if you are still interested. Life has gotten in the way and I forgot all about it.

Thanks, Rob

I feel for you...I've been looking for a right rear quarter window motor for my 1990 convertible since April with no luck...

As l have also posted before.
My '92 My facelift also has an intermittent work/don't work problem with one of my rear windows. Always goes down. I have changed the relays, checked the power etc. Seems only thing that works is to take off the trim and whack the motor with something !!!! then unplug it leaving it up.
Didn't someone here add window switches to the rear windows ?
