I'm trying to understand, on my 83, the parking is on the left and one arm is left-curved. On my XJS 90, this is the opposite. Is it linked to the Electrolux system change ?
Is it the same logic on RHD UK cars ?
I'm asking because the motor of my 83 is dead.

I think, that there is no system in wiper parking.

 

My 1985 is on the RH side, and RHD.

The 1979 PreHE, same.

The 1988, same.

I think it would depend on where the park switch cam, inside the motor unit os set to, maybe its adjustable, dunno, never needed to go looking.

 

My 1988 LHD version, parking left.
Maybe parking position was "other" than now, when LHD parking right, RHD parking left.
But I think, that there was discussion about wipers parking and a resumé was: what wipers were in stock, such were mounted on the car.

 

My RHD 1989 UK car parks them on the left. It does seem a bit random.
