Default Wire Identification

Could someone please identify this for me? It took the brunt of the fire. It attaches to the outside of the tranny housing I believe.

I'm thinking it's the rear crankshaft position sensor.

Cheers

Mmmm, heavy wire like that missing insulation, maybe a substitute earth cable replacing those 2 dumb ones up at the engine mount??.

Something got the insulation HOT, cat convertor?.

Also agree with Doug, but the only wires I remember on TH400 are on the LH side and speedo transducer and kickdown solenoid, which are quite thin compared to that monster.

Yes, rear crankshaft position sensor, and she won't run with it in that condition...
Good luck, I hope that is all you need to get her going.
