kenSAVAGE,

What is you mean by "bypass the stereo"?

Cheers

Default Stereo bypass options

My stereo requires a code to listen to the stereo. I need help to identify the code.

Usually somewhere in the owners manual for your car. You will find a radio code. If it's the original owners manual for your car that is. I've also seen the code either printed on the radio case, or a sticker. Note I said sometimes.
Hope it helps.

I wish I remember where I first found this, because I'm sure there is more information somewhere. Maybe someone will remember the original link?

There are dip switches in the radio, found under the data sheet. The first image shows how the switches are connected for 1324, the second for 4513.

If your switches look like one of these, we just found your code.

The third photo was notes that were supposed to show what switches related to what code so you could "decode" your radio, but I've forgotten the pattern.

One other thing... if the wrong code is entered three times, you need to leave the radio on/key on for 30 minutes to reset the code procedure. If you don't, no matter how many times you enter the right code, it still won't work. No, disconnecting the battery does not "reset the clock". You need key on/radio on for 30 min.

Fortunately, once you have the code in, it works... until the next time the battery is disconnected for whatever reason.

With real luck, you'll find the radio code card with the manual. Failing that, the above is the best I have. I hope others will chime in.
