Default XJS towbar

Hi all,

I know many frown upon Jaguars towing caravans but my XJ40 did such a good job of it, id like to put a towbar on the XJS. Does anyone know a place in the UK i can get one for my 90 3.6?

No. I am n the USA. In olden days here, the local blacksmith or welding shop would make them up from scratch. perhaps there.

Trivia. that nomenclature/language thing.

Here:

Tow bar. A device attached to the front of a vehicle to allow it to be towed by another vehicle. Known as flat towing.

Trailer hitch. A device attached to the rear of a vehicle to allow it to tow another car or trailer as needed. .

My Jeep has one of the latter that serves that purpose and another.
A steel bar to protect the fuel tank from a severe rear impact.
Known as a receiver hitch. the tube with the ball is removable.
Saves shins, that way!!

speedyxjs,

Should be fairly easy to find. Try someone like PF Jones.

Good luck

Here in the UK, we call that device on the front and rear of a car a towing eye lol.
