Default 07 vs 08 "XKR"

I am sure this has been asked before, but I don't know how to find the (I suppose) proviously posted question, so here it is (perhaps again). First years always seem to have "teething" problems. Is there significant improvement between the 07 and 08 "XKR" models? Am I better off paying more for an 08 vs an 07? Thanks for any info.

Ahhh, the great debate. Interestingly, I went through the same process just a short while ago.
Some are adamant that the removal of the antennae is of utmost importance.
Others believe newer is always better... and the list goes on and on.

In the end, a low mileage, proper coloured XKR, with the right accessories of 07 vintage found its way to me. And $ for $, I couldn't be happier.

And to add to my comments... You sold?!? an xk120!! That's one of my dream cars... I don't believe I could have done that.

I can't speak exactly to the R cars but the 07 XK had no significant "teething" problems I'm aware of. I think 07 XKs incorporated all the good points from the earlier XK8 series and later XJs in fairly seamless fashion.

This was also the height of the Ford Motor Co ownership experience and the presence of Ford QA personnel was strong - according to the automotive press of the time. Some will argue that point but it's an emotional argument as opposed to an objective one IMHO.

In sum, don't be concerned about the 07 and up XKs. They are solid milestone cars
