07' XK Rear Window Separation From Top Fabric!


Need some advise regarding a problem recently experienced with the convertible top on my beloved '07 XK. The rear window has separated from the fabric top. Looks like the original adhesive has failed. Appreciate any and all input regarding the appropriate repair procedure and specification for the adhesive to use?

I had similar problem on same color top. There was a previous post that gave the glue and cleaned. Also the factory recommendation was to repair breaks less than 17mm in length. Mine was nearly the complete driver side. Since mine was longer than allowed. I repaired it myself with en epoxy. Made some clamps that would reach that far to hold the glass to the top at the top position. So far it has lasted about 15 months - no leaks and no further release.

 

I had the same... I had it glued in Abu Dhabi at some shop.. but ultimately I went for a new roof.. which was expensive.. but made my '07 look like a brand new car..
