Well that's a no Brainerd purchase. I'll go check my local one.

 

I bought one exactly the same as that at a Smith's Kroger store in my city about three years ago for five bucks. Kinda cool, and quick also. They have the Pull-Back-Release drive spring in them.
I have it next to a Maisto X100 I got in 2009. Different sizes, but still kinda cool.

 

Im gonna repaint it to match my car.

 

They also had a traditional silver color XK I noticed after I took this picture.

Since we're talking models.... weird story.
So I bought my silver XK8 many years ago. The very next weekend my now-wife brought me on one of her Saturday Yard Sale excursions. I drove us around in my 'new' shiny silver X100.
Well, the very first place we stopped to look, there was a Maisto XK8 convertible. It was green with camel interior. Course I bought it. Painted it silver to match mine and changed the camel to black.
I even reduced and printed a picture of my plate and glued that on the back.
Please excuse the dust. I'm sort of lazy.

 

No luck at my local CVS or Publix. I might resort to ebay. I did the same thing as Cee Jay but with a Pocher 1/8 Testarossa. Stripped off the red paint and repainted white to match my TR.
