I know that this is a long shot, but it is driving me insane.

When driving at speeds of 40km/hr or less over bumpy roads or cobble stone, there is a persistant squeak from the rear end of the car. It is hardly noticeable, but I'm picky and know that it will only get worse with time. The XK comes out of warranty next month, I've had it into the dealership, but of course they just take it for a quick spin and cannot replicate the sound.

Any ideas? I know that there was a TSB that came out in 2010 for the rear differential...but no clue as to if it is related...

I also have a squeak from the passenger side interior...they've taken the door apart and rebuilt...it was good for about 2 weeks but has returned. The squeak from inside the car disappears when the window is down a bit...

Anyways, two squeaks...one from inside and one from the rear...any ideas appreciated...

 

I have driven my XKR Convertible nearly 80,000klms over the last three years and no squeaks in or out. You might have a Monday or Friday build car! Keep at them it is a Jaguar after all and it shouldn't have any squeaks. Good Luck.
