Default 1-2 up shift forced.

Annoyed how the car forces the 1-2 upshift with when spin for example.

Anyone find a way around this?

It will even do so with DSC disabled (held down for 10 sec)

I don't think the DSC comes into play. I've felt that the rev limiter kicks in to protect the engine. My daughters Infiniti coupe does the same thing and even flashes a light at you.

My Mercedes does the same. No biggie, it does it for a reason.

I get the rev limiter, not the upshift. I dont like it, cause the car to bog down and fall on its face,

I've noticed that the car bogs down - even in "s" - back end slithers and then upshifts to 2nd...

I haven't tried doing a fast start with the paddle shifters yet though.

When in the SPORT mode on the transmission selector, the mode will be AUTOMATIC SPORT unless a paddle is operated and a gear is displayed between the Speedo and Tach. To truly lock in a gear, the paddles must be used at least once after entering SPORT MODE. Of course then the Rev Limiter will be what you will experience.

With time at a drag strip, you'll learn that excessive wheel spin is a serious enemy to getting off the line. Once you solve excessive wheelspin via improved driving ability, the second problem will disappear.

Now if you want to bounce off the rev limiter like a hoon while not actually being anywhere near peak acceleration, I've never intended to do such nor know how.

If you like the sound of bouncing off a rev limiter, you can always go to neutral, but it caps at 4,500RPM.
