Default 2007 Struts

Hey guys!
New XK owner!
I bought a pretty clean 07 XK from my father (Elderly) and as being a little older he did not see a curb in a parking lot.... You see where I am going here....
He ran directly over it, popping a tire, bending the rim (20's) and.... Damaging the right front strut. I am in need of your advice. In 2007, is there only one OEM strut that fits or do I need to take it apart to find the part number?
Been reading on the forum for a few weeks now and already have benefited from the collective knowledge!
Thanks guys!

Brett Horton

If you go to ebay and look up British Parts Place (vendor), they have 2007-10 XKR shocks very reasonably priced. I bought the set of 4 for my car for under $350.00 which is less than the cost of one shock from Jaguar. They have a phone number where you can ask if they have them for the XK. They were very good to deal with, and the parts are genuine Jaguar items at about 1/4 of the cost. Very quick shipping.

Remember that Jag recommends that struts be replaced in pairs if there is more than aprox. 12k miles difference between them.

Is there just one shock option for the 2007 XK?
I have been told there is an "Air Ride" option.... Again I was told...

No Air ride in the XK. Those are found in the XJ.

Download this and look @ page 60:

It takes awhile and this doc covers much more than Shocks. It's an 11MB file but explains what you need to know.
