Default 2007 XK - Rear Suspension Query & Help

Hello All:
I am reaching out to the Forums' community to see if anyone is aware of commonality between the XK, Lincoln LS, Thunderbird and or others for the rear Upper & Lower Wishbones, the sway bar links and wheel bearing hub assemblies? I have been lead to believe that the Lincoln LS in particular are identical components. Not sure what year of vehicle however. Perhaps 2006.

If someone has a cross reference to the LS or Thunderbird Parts, that would be golden. Once I find them, I will be more than happy to share my findings as well.

The attachment diagram below identifies which component assemblies I am referring to. (items #12, 13 & 15 for the suspension) and (#6 & 7 (am actually looking for the wheel bearing hub assembly).

I believe the Jag PNs are:
Lwr Wishbone RH C2P16878
Lwr Wishbone LH C2P16879
Upr Wishbone RH C2D49448
Upr Wishbone LH C2D49449
AntiRollBar Link RH C2D49528
AntiRollBar Link LH C2D49529
Wheel Hub/Bearing Assy LH & RH C2P3406

Been discussed here before. I can't speak to the sway bar links or the hubs, but yes, Ford used the same control arms on the 2006 LS as they did on your model year.

A wee bit off topic but sort of applies when we query matching parts. No way a dig on the OP as he is asking the correct questions.

I was repairing my refrigerator a couple of days ago and after diagnosing the problem, I completed a parts search. Found the part and ordered it. While checking out, I big banner popped up and said:

"STOP. Did you find this part by looking at pictures on the internet and found one that "looks right"? If so, please call us first before completing your order."

LOL and happens to a lot of us I think.

Hello Sean:

Many thanks and appreciated the confirmation. So, now, I can make some progress on finding the cost on Lincoln LS parts which will be mucho less expensive.

The reason I asked is that under the advice of a local Jag mechanic near where we live, he found on a Lincoln LS he repaired, the upper and lower wishbones on the car actually had the Jaguar forging emboss identification on it. It was a common set of parts with the XK. I just wasnt sure for what year etc. So thanks for that.

I will also continue to investigate the wheel bearing hub assemblies. Once I have done all my research and verified a fitting in the spring, I will come back to post a table identifying the cross reference and cost difference for those who might be interested.

Cheers, Rick.

the OEM links are cheap enough I think. I'll be interested on your hub findings. I suspect they won't match as the splines might not match up, or perhaps they'll be close to the differential and the axles will be out of spec in terms of length. The control arms have been researched a great deal and I'm pretty sure there are several posts on them but adding another doesn't hurt. Looking forward to what you find.

Morning Sean:
Thanks again. Actually, the OEM (from Jaguar) is ridiculously expensive here in Canada. Hence my quest. If anyone knows where a cross ref chart is, I would be grateful for pointing in the right direction. I will do another search on this forum. Perhaps I missed it or did not use the right words in the search engine.
Many thanks. I noticed you mention your car is 80K miles. Mine has about 110K now.

Cheers, R.

Hi Again:

In my search this morning, I found a thread on a suspension chat that had some of your input. I was originally thinking to R&R the bushings. Do you know if that is possible or are they swaged/captured into the arm interface bores? Below is on that chat thread I mention.
