...I grabbed this from someone's posting a while back:
Thank you for contacting the Jaguar Customer Relationship Center.
We appreciate your inquiry. For the 2009 model year there were 180 XKR Portfolio coupes and 200 convertibles produced.

Chakka,
That was my 2010 post; for the actual Jaguar document, click the link in my post #13 above, go to my 2010 post and then click the link to the .pdf file at the bottom. I don't know if these production numbers are world-wide or only for North American cars.
I am going to start a registery for the 2009 Portfolio Editons (Coupe & Convertible) as maybe we can get an indication of what's out there. I realize that perhaps all 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition owners may not be on this forum, but would hope that Google will pick this up on their search engine and provide the link for this 2009 XKR PE's around the world, and mostly here in USA to add their names and what they own to the thread.
Rich Z, I remember having two 09 coupes come through West Chester when I worked there. One didn't have a spare and the new owner of the car thought we stole it. We laughed a little about it cause we knew it never had it but the other car had a spare. What would have been the difference between the two to cause a spare or no spare?

Cars equipped with optional Alcon brakes did not come with a spare, since the spare would not clear the calipers. Instead, they came with an inflator kit - a 12v air compressor and a can of tire sealant goop.
We have an '07 XKR, but our friends here in the Santa Cruz CA area have an '08 Portfolio. We also considered buying an '08 Portfolio that was for sale in Monterey CA at the time, but we a) didn't want to have EXACTLY the same car as our friends did (a little weird), and b) that one had a couple of scuffs and higher miles than the '07 we bought.
Regarding different colours: if you have enough leverage (usually a load of cash or pull with Jaguar) you can get things customised. For example: every 2008 4.2 XKR-S was black - except there was one done for a Jaguar exec that was two shades of pale metallic blue:
Hmm, as far as deliveries down to Australia are concerned, my understanding is that we only ever received a quota of Qty. 10 for each of the years, 2007, 2008 & 2009. So their rareity is pretty well cemented here. Mine is one of the 10 Celestial Black Portfolios delivered in 2007. However the previous knob refurbished the BBS wheels, having painted them in silver, instead of the original shadow chrome, which is in fact proving a little difficult to find someone comentant enough to be able to paint them that original finish.
Well, I guess I have one of the 133 verts shipped to the US......
There's not many aftermarket wheels I think actually look better on the car than the OEM Cremonas, but those sure do. congratulations. Are they 20's? they look maybe bigger?

These are Braelins purchased from 1010Tires, P/N BRO 01, if I recall.
I still have my Cremona's as a backup?

Although, the 4.2-litre supercharged PORTFOLIO sports coupe was sold worldwide while just 60 units were be sold in the UK for £75,597, a premium of just £5,500 over the 2008 Model Year XKR coupe. Deliveries were expected in late summer 2007.

My 2009 XKR Portfolio's Selena wheels also came from the factory in the Shadow Chrome finish. The shop that I used to refurbish them used a black base coat followed by a hypersilver topcoat and a final clearcoat. Any shop should be able to do the same thing. The result is definitely darker than regular hypersilver, and the black inner barrel makes the face stand out.
Note that the center spokes are not painted, and are chrome plated overlays. Compare those center spokes to the rest of the wheel, which is almost as shiny and a bit darker. I also ceramic coated them, which makes the brake dust easier to remove.

Just asking; why is "original" so important? Other finishes could look superior to OEM.
