Hi Cee Jay,
It’s just that the shadow chrome finish on the wheels, was one of the distinguishing features of the Portfolio release, which matched nicely with the finish of the side vents. It was “Just Right”.
But then, that is probably just me... as I also found it annoying that when you park the car and the Jaguar writing on the centre caps didn’t alway align horizontally so that it could be read as intended, so had to fix that with a set of floating centre caps. Perfect! 🤪

Here are another pictures of my self. Apparently for Switzerland there would have been only 25.

I saw some Portfolio that had the aluminium grille under the fog lights. that was an option too?

An original thing, a French person transformed the look of his Portfolio into XKR-S

The above XKR would look more like the 2008 XKR-S if it had the correct wheels. It's shown with the original Cremona chrome wheels that were standard equipment on the limited-production 2008 XKR Portfolio.

Below is a picture of the 2008 4.2L Europe-only XKR-S, which came from the factory with forged Vortex wheels painted silver. Those wheels are very rare. For details, see: https://www.supercars.net/blog/2008-jaguar-xkr-s-coupe/

Vortex wheels were subsequently made available for 5.0L models in a different machined and black painted finish and offset to fit the E-diff. It's my favorite OEM X150 wheel design.

Stuart S yes i know, i want to tell about the bodykit, it's original because we keep the color and the style of the Portofolio adding a touch of sportiness. without looking like the other 200 XKR-S. making it a unique thing

RedRider48 : What is this the rims model ? from what brand ?

They're 20" staggered fitment aftermarket Braelin BR01, custom machined to fit the Jaguar offsets. For details, see:

If it's the guy I think it is, he now has a set of the correct Vortex wheels as well, though in the wrong colour. The problem is, he's advertising it on Facebook as a genuine R-S. I originally thought people were complaining because they were confusing the 4.2 R-S with the 5.0 R-S and I defended him. But then things began to look a bit odd - wrong wheel colour, no rear valance, no R-S badge. We suggested he post the VIN to prove things one way or the other - he never answered.

He's French - a poseur!

Just like the bonehead owner of this fake BMW - it's a Honda Accord!

My 09 XKR Convertible is shadow grey with biscuit interior and brushed stainless on the dash. It is fitted with Alcon Brakes but is not a portfolio based on the door plates.

not sure what a portfolio has that mine doesn’t.

The tell tale I look for in photo's is that the 2008/2009 Portfolio has a machined aluminum fake vent cover on the fender instead of molded plastic.

The difference in pictures is very noticeable, even at a thumbnail level when browsing cars for sale.

That said 2008 and 2009 portfolios have different interiors available from each other.

Here's the 2008-2009 XKR Portfolio vent. Enlarge the photos to see the details. They're illuminated turn signals, highly detailed polished cast aluminum with mesh screens, and are much more expensive than the standard vent.
