I got a Check Engine Light this morning for coolant temp too low. I pulled the thermostat out and sure enough the rubber seal is not seated properly. Before I order parts, is there an upgrade option for the thermostat?
Sorry, I was not clear. When looking through RockAuto I saw "normal" looking thermostats listed for my car that cost <$10. While the Jaguar thermostats costs ~$50, it's not the price that bothers me. It's the possibility of the seal on the original thermostat failing again. My question is if one of the "normal" thermostats would work in this application.
At the end of the day I decided not to risk and ordered the Jaguar thermostat.

You can probably return it with a full refund.
Send me an email I can help with where you can get an updated version without the rubber seal that fails. Have no clue why Jaguar used that seal in the first place as the main failure in our thermostats are that exact rubber seal. truesownow@gmail.com
