Default 2011 XKR base convertible Glass

Does anyone out there know of a good source for OEM glass for X150 Windshield and side glass. I was caught in a sudden "sand tornado" the other day and now have nits all over the windows. I am in the Northern Virginia/DC area, and willing to get glass shipped from anywhere for my jag specialist to install. Thanks in advance for your help.

You should file a claim with your car insurance company. Glass damage should be covered under the Comprehensive coverage of your policy.

I need a windshield for my 2011 coupe too. It is pitted pretty bad. I'll probably try to get one next year. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see where one may be available.

If either of you have the optional heated windshield please let us know if the replacement is available and if it still works after installation.

Yep this is all about insurance - which varies state by state. Generally (and to oversimplify), your insurance policy has three parts: collision (fixes your car in a fender-bender, accident, etc), liability (fixes the other guys car as well as bodily injury, property damage, etc)... and then there's Comprehensive. Which covers theft, tree-falling damage, hitting a deer (among other things)... and windshields. In some states Comprehensive has no deductible. In some states (like CA) you can set the deductible, and it's separate from your collision deductible. (My collision deductible is higher. My comprehensive deductible is $200)

Why am I telling you all this? Because if you're comp is good, and you're worried about getting Jaguar glass, there's no reason NOT to have it replaced at a dealership. You'll exceed your deductible wherever you go.

And a comp claim like a windshield should not raise your rates. And they rarely check whether or not the windshield needs it. Having said that, companies can raise your rates for pretty much anything, so...
