dont know about the dealer, but the car looks pretty clean. 1800 miles on the clock is something of wonder, but nothing of major concern, especially considering its a CPO.

In February of this year I bought a Portfolio Rhodium Silver XKR vert with 650 miles on the odo, but never registered; so I bought it as new for 39% off of list. I think the pricing on this car is somewhat high if it does not come with an extended warranty. I think a good price would be $4-5k below asking. Why? every month it sits at the dealer the value goes down. If you decide you want it, good hunting.

do you think they would accept $55k or is that a bit stingy of me?

When I started negotiating with the dealer some 6 weeks before I bought the car we were some $6k apart at a level some $8k higher at the low end. I walked away and then about 6 weeks later emailed them a final and best offer. The next day the salesman called me with an offer of $1k higher than my offer and i took it.

it really is so much car for the money though isn't it? there is nothing I am aware of as pretty and powerful for near the price.

It does seem to be priced pretty high, even for a CPO. Just remember that the CPO warranty is a limited coverage, it is still pretty good, but it has exclusions. The full factory warranty is good until 6/29/2018 so you would have a decent amount of time under the full coverage.

ferraripete,
Send Ralph to negotiate for you. His car is beautiful, and he got a hell of a deal through his negotiations.

thanks for the price info is helpful. they are at the high end but cite the car as new and never titled...which is not exactly true as the dealer has taken title to the car as they even cite an in service date.

I will use this info in my offer. good news is I don't need the car...but would like it

it basically fits my goals in buying a car however. but an as new, pride of ownership car w/ super low miles at a tremendously discounted rate.

I was waiting patiently for the new alfa giulia QF w/ 510hp as my east coast driver but it has been an arduous waiting game. this car just popped up so worth a look and I could save $20k over the alfa. I adore the xk and love the coupe as well. again, worth a serious consideration.

If you like the deal and it fits your criteria trying to achieve the absolute bottom price is irrelevant. On a car at this level and at hopefully your high income tier it is what it is, something you want and able to afford.

If you decide to go for it drive the best deal you can and others opinion is of no concern.

I would've bought that car in a heartbeat if it was around when I bought the XE instead. That is one hot XKR at a fantastic price!!!

I was there with you on the Giulia, but I felt like I was in a rush to get into a new car and the Alfa was not on the market. I drove a GranTurismo S, but that did little for me. All those that say it is a "baby Ferrari" or something I don't get it. The GranTurismo seemed lacking in every department outside of the looks... Thought about Ghibli (was the same lease price as my XE), but was did not the excitement meter very high.

A used XKR or new XE Supercharged were the only two real front runners for me.

Still, even though this car has only 1,000 miles or so, it's still old(ish). I think $57k is a bit high, but if someone WANTS a super-low mileage car, then it'd be worth it to that person.

MY take on vehicle mileage:
If you plan on driving it a lot, get a low-mileage car. If you will use it as a once-in-awhile car, a higher mileage will be more than adequate. After 4-5 years, it will all even out.

The original warranty will last 48 months from the original in service date or 50k miles whichever occurs first. If the dealer is upfront about the car he/she should give you the in service date with out being asked. Also if you get serious about the car have them make sure all of the updates and TSBs that apply to the vehicle have been applied. You should also have them check the battery to ensure that it is good and will not cause you any undue problems, if so they should replace it.

I just checked the Sr Nr. of this car. It is SAJWA4DC8DMB48855 which is some 633 vehicles older than mine. You can go to Topix in the Jaguar website and enter the Sr Nr and get the build sheet and see whether any issues with the car have been addressed. If you want further input from me, pm me and I will try to help you out.
