Not necessarily. At idle, there is quite a bit of vacuum. A disconnected 3mm line can be heard easily under some circumstances.

Only mentioned b/c it happened while at higher speed also couldn't hear leak from inside cockpit, only while hood was up and I was poking around.

But as mentioned, may or may not be relevant but may help someone later.
