I just read the full review in the October issue of Car and Driver and their findings for all three models reinforces the fact that Jaguar really needs to work on their suspension weaknesses in order to better match tire grip to power in order to improve overall performance.
It's like they feel their customers are more interested in the sound of the exhaust on their "R" models...and maybe that's true!

I don't think Jaguar will be doing much work on improving the traction of a discontinued model. However, suspension on XKR-S GT has been reworked with great results, but it is so expensive. The XKR-GT was a project to do just that with the intention of transferring the improvements to the F-type. The XKR-S GT is in a league of its own.
If there were more XK's on the road I'm sure there would be more after market suspension improvements available. Then again what makes these cars so desirable to their owners is their exclusivity.

The handling of the XKR will satisfy 99 percent of owners, particularly those living in speed limited environments. The tiny minority that would like more is out of luck because it is not feasible for the aftermarket to produce those parts if only a few dozen owners would purchase them. My wish list would include owning an XKR and having the aftermarket supply of a Mustang or BMW...
