Guys just purchased a 2007 xK and had an Jaguar ACM fitted for ipod connectivity. It sounds great but I have a few problems with it.

1. Once you press play on the IPOD in the glovebox it keeps playing regardless of switching to Radio or CD on the steering wheel. All the controls appear to work. Only time it stops is when the engine turns off or turn the entertainment system off. I realise that I can pause the device manually but that means opening up the glove box while driving. Should it pause when you change the source or can it be stopped somehow without opening the glovebox

2. It seems to have a very old version of firmware 2004 1.05. Can this be updated? On the Dension site there is a download but appears the same as the version I already have. Would the Merc version be compatible at 2.01


Any help really appreciated - first post and I have looked on the tips and tricks section but cant find an answer.
