Default Airbag removal from steering wheel

Anyone done this? I've disconnected the battery, turned the wheel 90 degrees from dead center to access the airbag release clips slots on the rear but no amount of wiggling therein with a screw driver seems to move the airbag any. Surely someone's done this already?

You need the special tool as the airbag could get damaged with a screwdriver.

Thank you. I'll see if I can get hold of one of those.

I bought mine directly from BOSCH Automotive Svc Solutions in Chicago
(800) 640-7305

$52.12 US

Stupid little piece of bent bar and a wedge welded to it... But it worked...
Now that I'm done with it, I was going to toss it up on FleaBay but for US sales only...

Vince

BTW I bought the generic Chinese airbag removal kit and it was worthlless
