The FED dictates a lot of the area that need to be reflective or lit (two different specs) for each function based on the year of production. That's why there are so many little bulbs in the headlamp assy. I'm not a huge fan of the Arden mod. It looks tacked on and doesn't flow well with the rest of the body, unlike the Aston pics above.

Personally the options are to tint it a little so the bright colors don't stand out so much or leave it alone. I like the bright contrast of the colors and equate dark with dull. As a side benefit with the dumb phone drones out there I want all the visibility I can find. Same reason I left the 'dumb' reflectors on my street bike.

I don't see this often but I was driving behind a pickup trick yesterday that had tint on the tail lights like this. Not good. I could barely tell the difference between tail light and brake light. Be careful out there powerhouse
