think my alternator has chucked it
not charging battery
car is a 2010 r and I’m looking for alternator fuse before I order new
pre 2007 is fuse 5 in rear junction box behind seats but on my car there is only a blank space at this location
can anyone help ?

There is no alternator fuse on my 2010 XK,

The alternator requires 12v from the ECM to activate the alternators outer coil and begin charging,
its an electromagnet. This is done on a single wire attached to the alternator.

Get your alternator tested.
