Xjr-99 that's sounds like Europe

"If the car feels like a catapult and goes 9.9 - then everything is fine "

Time slips are good but really there is no more acurate tool than a Dyno to measure hp gain. Way too many variables on track , just with Density Altitude alone difference, same car can be 1 sec slower with identical track conditions but different Density Altitude

Next week, if there is no snow, we go to dyno. 8h of dynotime reserved. WOT needs to be fully tuned from scrach. We use 93 + water/meth at this time. Next year most probably E85 / C85. .

25 PSI is huge for a Roots SC, or is that Turbo piping I see there?

If I run someone from a start, 1/4 mile or 60 roll and I beat them I could care less about there dyno horsepower...Here are my dyno results: I estimated my HP with my mods and fluff it up by 50 HP and that's MY dyno number, and no one questions it or asks to see dyno sheets...

Good for you ! So if you beat a Corvette with your Civic your going to estimate your power based on your win! Good Science

Why does every thread involving a tune seem to go South?

400 horsepower to start at the crank.. supercharger pulley 75...cold intake 100... K&N 25...flap removal 30 pretend I got a tune for another 30 it adds up fast🙂 That comes up to 660 magically becomes wheel horsepower When anybody asks... I do have the dyno sheets but the dog ate them if anyone asks😉

Alex Jag you should get someone with a 5.0 to dyno on the same machine as you, that would be your proof of H.P.

t's not roots SC - It's a twin-screw (TS) + all kind of goodies. Today the car passed special inspection and the mods are official and legal. Here you can't bolt what you want to provide as much power as possible. You have to be able to provide signed dyno document, which includes all parameters and the power has to be lower tha maximum power per weight. Of course with tuning you can show almost anything you want by modifying just a few parameters and without changing any parts.

I got plenty of proof have no reason to think numbers are off . Dyno matches other cars that were on it with modifications perfectly. Pre mod Dyno numbers are there. At same track racing my friends on regular basis , car with an identical launch is dead even with stock 550hp cts-v , and beats stock Xlr-V with 440hp by nearly a second . Plenty of other cars on the list to verify the numbers...

Xjr-99 Total different ball game your playing there. But since you pushed it to 25 you did check max power right?

We had just four hours time to make basic maps. Timing was very, very mild to get power enough low. Every single degree made about 20hp difference and we were more than ten degrees from optimal level. Cam timing is not optimal for high revs, LSA is too narrow. The engine makes massive middle rev torque but most probably too narrow LSA to rev well over 6K. We have 106.5 / 113.5 - should be 110 / 118 with those cams ( best LSA for positive displacement SC is about 114-116 )
