I've moved your thread from XK8/XKR 1996-2006 to XK/XKR 2006 onwards forum.

This is the place for XKR-S owners and wannabees.

Perhaps I failed to grasp some subtle undercurrent of this portmanteau word.

My aim was nothing more than to indicate the potential interest of those who would aspire to ownership of the model in question.

Just what I thought. No drama with the RS5.; and the XKR-S, can't get enough of it. Jaguar's getting a reputation. They build bad *** reliable cars.

Quite right, and they have been doing that for some time now. It certainly took a while for the popular belief to start changing, but I'm glad that it is changing.

IMHO the only interesting Audi is the RS6 Avant, because it is SUCH a boring package that it approaches irony.

That certainly beats some of their advertising slogans I've seen in recent times!

The RS5 sounds awesome and I quite like the look of it. But it is more a competitor for the XFR, not the XKR. It actually has a usable back seat, and doesnt have the sportscar look.

But isnt the interior dreary? Our motoring writers are constantly saying how the audi sets the benchmark for interiors, but to me they could not be more dull. Even the A8's interior is pretty ordinary and cheap looking. Not a patch on the XF, or the XJ.

My sarcasm [emoticon] key seems to be stuck for some reason... I plan on making mine a 500hp rs. Suspension - wider wheels and some aero.

Why not just a real car, the XKR.

I think that is a very true comment. That is what drew me to my XF over and A6, 5 series, etc. But some of the new Audi interiors are stunning:

My RS7 has arrived!!

I love it - make no mistake about that. If I floor it in a low gear with the factory 510hp and factory tq then with traction control on it bogs and off the tail end swings out. Mild suspension mods and a little more tire will help tremendously.

Caviar,
Amazing ride! Very sinister looking, that RS7. Even with the child seat in back

Rich,

You haven't been paying close enough attention to your accessories brochure.

That RS7 is hot. Looks as luxurious as a Bentley GT. Before getting my wife her Volvo S80 Platinum we test drove the 2012 Audi A7 and could not wait to return it. But thus RS& looks hot. With the RS badge it probably drives a lot better too.
