Auto Rain Sensor Optional? Missing mine 2011 XKR
Is the Auto Rain Sensing feature standard on all XK150s? I don't seem to have this function on my 2011 XKR .
I am looking at the wiper stalk and instead of the "AUTO" marking it reads "MAX"
Instead of five (5) detent positions (incl. OFF)on the rotating wiper stalk collar; there are only four (4) again, one being the OFF postion.
The option is listed on the original window sticker as standard equipment.
It appears there is a rain sensor behind the windsheild glass, but I haven't pulled the interior mirror casing to confirm
I cannot effect the auto function by using a spray bottle while stalk is in various modes, so I am assuming this option was left off by mistake, or special order. Otherwise, the wipers and washers work fine.
I'm not really complaining because I find some of these features to be overkill, but I was just curious about the discrepancies from what I read in the Owners Manual and the Shop Manual versus what is installed in the vehicle. And I don't drive it that much in the rain... If fact its never been in the rain since I owned it. :-)
