Default Best OBD II reade? CEL came on first thing this AM

This morning I pulled out of the garage and the Check Engine Light was on. Engine ran fine, and shifted without problems.
My first Jaguar--a 1993 XJS --would display what the codes were on its computer screen; now I need an OBD II reader to show me the codes so I can trace the problem.via this Forum and Google.
Any suggestions for the brand of readers that you use in your home garage.?

BlueDriver. Works perfectly, easy to use and comprehensive.

SDD. Works perfectly well, a bit of a learning curve, and has all the Jag specific stuff, including flashing new firmware.

For most stuff, an Autel AP200 with the JLR software load. Easy to use, lots of data points access, some good service items.$70, droid or Ios. Addresses most of the issues that SDD does.

Thank You for the suggestions.
After my previous illness and subsequent relocation, I had gotten rid of all my mechanics' equipment.
I guess with my new "baby" it is time to re-stock my tool inventory!

OR, pay the $14 or whatever and get a cheap OBD2 Bluetooth dongle and the free Torque App. I use mine every time I drive as it's hooked up to the TSD and I can read my gauges right there in front of my face.
There are also more expensive ones also.
