Are the Michelins worth the additional cost? Not to me, but others will disagree.
I can also confirm that a common issue with Hankook is flat spots. I had it regularly on my G35, even when parked for a short time. In addition I found them to be exceptionally noisy. I was never crazy about directional tires.

bocatrip,
The noise coming out of my Hankooks was just about unbearable. For that reason, alone, I wouldn't buy them again. Agree with you completely.

I have never heard any tire noise from the Hankooks while driving my XKR. With fuse 19 pulled, all I hear is the great sound of the exhaust.

Something is weird then, as none of my Hankooks ever made any noticeable sound. Maybe you had an old style that's been discontinued or something?
I really think I'd hear something since Convertible and all that. Even with the top up I don't hear dammit from the tires.

@Cee Jay :-) What I love about my tinnitus is the selective hearing switch. Thank you Army.

My hearing loss (thanks, Air Force) just happens to be right at the same pitch as my wife's voice.

Get what I got. A massive upgrade. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. They meet all the requirements and exceed any others. Be sure to get a four wheel alignment and load force balancing, and you will think you have a new car!

these tires are great on the track too.

I suppose its truth in advertising. Their slogan is "Be one with the road" as in put your ear to the pavement.

I can vouch for that, the A/S3+ is the MPS4s with skiving for ice and snow handling. Exact same dual compound and thread.
Yep it felt like a new car- and its the exact comment I made here when I got them.

The cure. Well, not quite, but helpful. And the price was right ($0.00), but came at a high cost. Thanks, Army and VA.

Being that you're from London, I expected proper English; instead, you made an obvious misteak.

How you can consider my hearing aids to be kiddie ****? This is kiddie ****!

My apologies if I offended anyone, but they're just plants. I'm not responsible for what goes on in your mind.

If you didn't think that was funny, then your dry British humor has gone aqueous! That means you can't see the funny side of life!

Hi Griff999!

I have Vredestein Ultrac Vorti on my XK R-S and I was very satisfied.
The Tyers was very good for this Jag.
On dry Roads the grip
was very good and in Rain too.
Price was good for the Dimension.

regards
Roman

I ended up with these:
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...oModClar=Coupe

So far, they have been really awesome! They seem flexible, but grippy. Soft enough for great grip but not enough to quickly wear the tread.

I was going to go with the Pirelli P ZERO, but these listed a better tread life, so with negligible reviews between the Pirelli and these, I went with these. I think these were also a little less costly.

The boys at Tate Boys sure were stoked to see this roll in for a tire exchange, lol. They are used to seeing American pickup trucks and little economy cars.

P.S. If you use TIRERACK.COM, be sure to call them when you have different front and rear tire sizes to be sure you get your 4-tire discount.

a tire that have close to no tread at all even performs well on warm sunny days(Hope you don't have to wonder how i know that but I will say I couldn't afford new tires at the time). To give us a REAL review, tell us how they preform in wet conditions or when it's raining outside.Reason i say this cause i had brand new tires that perform very well on hot sunny days, but be slicker than somebody that fell on a mopped floor when it gets wet outside.I'm not gone say which "Brand new" tire I had cause i don't recommend nobody buying those and I don't want give nobody any ideas.
