Default Black or Not Black

I would like your opinions. Back bumper left in silver or with black add on... Which is better? (the pictures are not the best quality on black but you get the idea)

This is a personal taste question. If it was my car, I'd go with the all black.

I've enlarged your pics in the original post for a better view.

Agree with aahmichael, it's a personal taste question. However, I go the opposite way with the silver.

To me, it looks an integrated part of the design in silver but the same panel in black looks like a slightly uncomfortable afterthought.

The black does look good with the black wheels although, It does take away from the sweet smooth lines the all silver rear end that looks only likes a Jaguar looks. My 2 cents worth. Again personal preferences.

Black for me.... then paint the Jag badge between the two lights silver.

Ohh nice trick with the red paint on the lights! Works well. Good thinking

I am digging the black contrast. Looks more like what Jaguar would've done.

So it looks like 3 for silver and 5 for black... Interesting... BTW the Jaguar line between the lights is originally silver so it wouldn't be hard to put back but I'm not sure about the look... The lights are obviously not painted but wrapped with red clear vinyl... Keep it coming...

Interesting Q ...had to bounce between the two pics to get what you were talking about ...however I'm favoring silver much like what GGG said ..let us know what you decide! ;-)

I'm gonna vote to either black out everthing ..like the window trim too (anything chrome) or leave it silver. JMHO Yours is a hard call cuz your wheels are silver and black!
Question:
Did Mina kit fit right on or the body man still have to do a lot of triming and cutting to make it fit right? Sweet!

i'd go for black.. the silver will turn dark grey, black/brownish anyway..until someone cleans it again..

The car right now is pretty much blacked out. The front grills, front chin, hood bonnets, side gills, rear "Jaguar" line and rear bumper section are now all black... The window trims are brushed aluminum (not chrome) and they blend in well with the color of the car and don't really show... They also go well with the wheels. As with any add on kit you always need quite a bit of body work to get it to fit exactly, as with the Mina kit. I also had mine molded to the back bumper so that really takes more work...

Silver, hands down! This gives the vehicle a "uni-body" appearance while doing a better job of showcasing the exhaust.

At the end of the day, it's all about personal taste

Personal taste. But, if it were mine I would go with the all silver.

If you look at the previous generation XK's, I believe the back bumper is all the same color.

I would carry that same Jaguar design philosophy and keep it all one color - - silver.

Black is too common and ‘unfinished’ for me. Like a black plastic addon.
The silver looks polished and complete and classic.

Silver all the way, gives it a low profile look to the car!
