Default Broken toe link

So after complaining about my new toe links being totally rusted after only a few months, the company sent me a new set. I installed them and got the alignment done.

While further diagnosing this dam squeak from the rear, I notice some play in the 'new' toe link on the driver side. Sure enough, its cracked.

I can feel the play, and I can also rotate it a bit as seen in the 2 different positions in the pics. Question is, was it a manufacturers defect? Or over torque from the alignment? I can't seem to catch a break with these dam suspension parts =[

They like actually snapped? Dam.

I had a set from Dueche Parts or something off eBay. But the replacement set they sent didn't look the same so IDK who they source from.

Deutsche Parts USA has an D or F rating from the BBB. I was once going to buy one of their suspension parts and they get rated high on eBay but the BBB isn't having it.

Their name should have been a warning. What did you expect from a seller with a name like that? Bags?

The good thing is that now you know the source of that annoying squeak and can fit it.

Yes both sides snapped completely at the welds and it was the above brand mentioned poor welds looks like they are simply spot welded

However I did manage to salvage the rubber bushes and apply them to my oem links so far so good after two years

Turns out this is not a break ... its actually just threaded. Never knew they made them like that.

Popped it out and tightened it up. Its nice and tight now. I'll wait till after the lower arms get replaced to do the alignment.
