I just bought a CPO 2008 XK Conv with 23k miles a week ago. I already noticed one of my rear backup lights and one of the tiny amber front parking lights are out. The dealer says he will fix them gratis but I can't help thinking what's up with two bulbs/lights out on a three year old car. I owned my last car, a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe for 8 years and never needed to fix a bulb or light. Is this a common problem with these cars? I would love to hear feedback from other more experienced XK owners.

 

only 1 backup light for '07-'09 taillights......'10 has the dual backup lights.

The front amber lights are fairly easy to replace also if you need too.

Was backing out of father's driveway in my new 2007 Jag, he said "backup light's out, driver's side." I thought, oh no, electrical gremlins already. Took me a bit to figure out there IS no driver side backup light! Odd. But better that than gremlins!
