Buyer beware - Heater/Air Conditioning blower motor

Why is it I never learn my lesson.
I Did select the most expensive name brand replacement for the heater/air conditioning motor and fan:
VDO / CONTINENTALPM9313 {Click Info Button for Alternate/OEM Part Numbers} (Standard Replacement) w/Blower Wheel.
And of course, the fan element is too large to fit into the housing.
Good grief.

Sounds like a Rock Auto part?

Yeah i've noticed they are hit or miss with fitment for XK parts. A fuel filter and rear lower control arm didn't fit after I purchased from them.
