Default A/C stale smell

Hi Guys.

Been using the A/C a lot recently. Hot hot at the moment lol.
I have noticed that when the A/C is on the smell is a little stale and when you turn it off, is also smelly....stale.
Any ideas how i can freshen it up a little?
Cheers.

You may want to check your ac condensate drain tubes. Accumulated/trapped water within the ac ducting/plenum may account for the smell. Start with looking for a small puddle of water under the car after a run. You want to see this. If no puddle, then you have a problem.

Also, look for a wet right side carpet near the console. That indicates an advanced problem. Good luck.
