Default Cannot apply Park brake

This warning: "Cannot apply Park brake" (in red!) appeared on the message center when I started the Jaguar this morning.
I searched the Forum for possible cures.I found some that said to detach the battery and push the brake 10 times, etc.

However, when I restarted the car this afternoon the warning was GONE!
Maybe it had something to do with having the door open the first time I started the car and had the door closed the second time..?..

I confess that learned auto mechanics on a 1948 ****** Jeep, where all I needed was a wrench, a pair of pliers, and a screwdriver to fix anything!

Modern electronics mystify me.

A lot of electrical gremlins show up when the battery is low. I've not heard of this particular one, but never ignore the battery. 12.6 Volts in the morning before starting.

Problem resolved:
I left the Jaguar alone in the garage to give it time to think about its recalcitrant behavior.
When I returned and started it up later that day WITH THE DRIVER'S DOOR CLOSED THIS TIME the warning, --magically,-- went away.
(I think that the answer is that like any domestic pet in your house, you need to let your Jaguar know who is the boss!!)
