Default Catalytic converter - rich fuel mixture - rough idle at cold

This is a follow on my "though I walk through the valley hose of death" issues. I spoke with the owner of a local repair shop about getting some diagnostics done
on my Jag regarding rough idle on start up. I explained what the JLR dealer had done. That they had screwed up the installation of the throttle body gasket causing
high fuel trims. Jag fixed the gasket issue, smoke tested etc.

He asked me how long I drove it before the gasket was fixed, I said around 250 Kilometers with some heavy gas pedal in there. He said that most likely the excess fuel/
rich mixture has wrecked the CATs

I think that is a bit of a leap, hopefully he is wrong and they find one bank lean compared to the other indication a JLR induced vacuum leak.

I'm getting an engine light now when turning ignition on - O2 sensor. It clears when started. I'm booked in with a local dealer to do some diagnostic checks on the system on the 4th of May.

When I had an injector stick open it ended up ruining the cat on that side. Cat Cleaner helped for awhile, but now it appears it is time to replace.
On that note, there is a shop near me that repairs catalytic converters for $299. They cut them open, replace the material and weld them closed. Guaranteed for five years!

Sounds like a good way to go.

I just bought the torque pro app (I think you said you were using it). I can't get the app to connect to my Kiwi obd2 adapter. I've tried all the bluetooth settings - it say's the phone is paired to the adapter. Torque pro must not like the Kiwi. Grrrr.

I have a.... Panyong? or some other cheap blue OBD adapter. It's not failed me yet, and I get all the available parameters. I also use it for my Ford Forscan program. I got the adapter AND Torque Pro along with full Dash Command for like eight bucks several years ago.
